This book is a rip-off.Sure, there are some very good stories in there, but not as many as I expected. The title is misleading, as the book is NOT about Sex and drugs and rock and roll. It is more about the history of rock and roll, as told by a motley crue of journalists. Sure, it does involve some sex and drugs, but that is more incidental. The book is over 600 pages, but more than half the articles shouldn't be in it anyway. Plus, this book covers all the various genres from pop to punk, for the last 100 plus years. So there is bound to be quite a lot of bands you are not remotely interested in, and a good number that you wouldn't even have heard about. Give it a miss. There are much better books on the topic.
