Description
This auto-biography of an American girl growing up in the sixties/seventies details a quest for truth and destiny which took her to the depths of deception and ultimately, captivity. The unexpected circumstances which brought about her rescue and restoration to health and wholeness, brings hope to those in seemingly impossible situations. She provides resources and encouragement to friends and loved ones who are on the verge of giving up on someone who seems to be past the point of no return.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a beautiful reminder of God's promise in Romans 8:28-29 that He will work all things to the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. This book helped me further in my understanding of what makes cults so appealing and it also issues the challenge to those of the Body to make sure we're walking the walk and not just talking the talk. I'm so happy that Ms. Larkin has found true wholeness in Christ and that she is using her experiences to go back and help others.
