Description
Noted biblical scholar John McNeill (The Church and the Homosexual) offers further insight into the role of sex in the Bible and how the Catholic Church has twisted the original viewpoints of Church Fathers over the years. This book also offers a festschrift by current scholars in honor of McNeill. John McNeill was co-founder of the New York City chapter of Dignity, a group for Catholic gays and lesbians. For over twenty-five years, he has been active in a ministry to gay Christians through retreats, workshops, lectures, publications, etc. He received the Human Rights Campaign Lifetime Achievement Award.

John McNeill is simply amazing! His latest work, "Sex as God Intended" develops and builds on his previous works. The man is a God sent. This work accelerates the transformation of moral theology in the area of sexuality reaching new heights. This book should be used at colleges and seminaries around the world. This work corrects the "warped" view of sexuality in the West. I highly recommend this book. There are only two slight drawbacks: 1) in the printing of this work there are typographical errors and misprints, and 2)I only wished McNeill had included study questions at the end of each chapter or at the end of the book (perhaps a supplemental study guide could be the next enhancement). Wonderful book!
