This toy is great to keep my dog's attention. We noticed at first that it was making her gums bleed a little, but that stopped after a use or two so it seems like she may have just needed a toy to clean up her gums and teeth which this does well. She is a pretty heavy chewer and the toy has only had minor damage. We give it to her with doggy toothpaste or peanut butter and let her chew on it for 10-15 minutes and then take it away. She mostly licks it and then just uses the last few minutes to really chew. She LOVES it!I purchased 2 different sizes of these more than a year ago. My dogs LOVED them. They were starting to look worn, so I purchased two more . I thought we had a medium and a large. But, the replacements are smaller than what I wanted.Too big for my 32 lb frenchie. Material is a harder silicone. My dog prefers a softer chewier material. Not his favorite but he hasn't broken it yet.My dogs brush their teeth every day with these. They hold up well - I replace about every six months- and they do what they’re supposed to. I use an enzymatic toothpaste and let them brush about 15 minutes - excellent results and money saving in the long run in terms of lower vet bills. It also seems like a treat instead of a battle of wills! It doesn’t happen overnight but after a couple of months of consistent brushing, clean teeth. For reference my dogs are medium sized.My dogs just don’t seem to get how to chew on it and I’m constantly turning it so they won’t chew the base. They mainly just want to lick the toothpaste off ??‍♀️ It is easy to cleanThe product was very think and durable. I am giving it a 3 because it was bigger than described. My dog would not put it in her mouth. Too big.I think this would have worked great... but it was too large for my dog. I ended up having to return it.It was too large for my 15pound Miniature Poodle. I wish it had worked. It's a great concept.
