I got this and many other toys for my new kitten. Months later and it’s still his favorite toy. If I so much as open the drawer I keep it in he stops whatever he’s doing (even if he’s playing with other toys) and comes running hoping to play with this one.He plays with this toy very roughly and it has held up really well. No feathers or bird pieces coming off, and no snapping of the wand.He doesn’t get bored with it like other toys. In fact, every time I use this I have to be the one to stop it and pay attention to if he’s getting too tired/pushing himself too much and needs a break. Some examples of maneuvers he likes:- Darting movements on the ground- Fakeouts where it goes really still (like playing dead) and then suddenly starts moving quickly- Watching it fly above him and then trying to catch it when it dives to the ground within jumping range- Darting ground movements with sudden flying up movements for him to jump- Jingling it on a high perch he has to climb to- Laying on his back and batting it with his paws above himI break this out when it seems like he has higher energy and it never fails. Definitely recommend.I bought this cat wand as a replacement for my previous one that broke. I only had a few criteria: real feathers and a long handle. How different could cat wands really be?This, my friends, has elevated playtime to a new level. The long wire that the toy is attached to makes the toy bob and sway in a way that makes my cats go crazy. The length also makes it easier on me, too. I can sit in my chair and have my cats zooming all over without having to get up and walk around. My lazy butt is happy and I usually find myself smiling as we play.So what could the problem be? Well, my most active cat has become obsessed with this toy. If I’m sitting on the toilet, she will drag the toy over to me and look at me with pleading eyes. If I’m working at home and on an important call, she’ll cry and cry while sitting next to the wand. It’s incredibly annoying and absolutely adorable. It’s definitely a cat toy worth purchasing, just prepare for your cats to love it.It's been 20 years since I've had a new kitten in my house so I wanted to buy her some new toys and took a chance on this one. She loves it! It's a nice sturdy toy and it has some interchangeable feathers and a bird. She loves the bird and when I am not playing with her, she carries the bird with the handle attached around the house. Worth the purchase. All 3 of my cats enjoy playing with these. They get into hunting mode and leap and jump round catching the toy. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.I just got this toy and used it last night.. My senior cat loves it! She played with it longer than I remember her playing with any toy. And I didn't have to do much of the work like I do with some other toys. I am so happy I bought this toy for her. I will probably buy another to stash in different room for impromptu play.Cat loves feather and we needed a replacement feather stick toy. He loved the fluff on these, but was lackluster about the toy because there was no bounce in the wand. Our last few want toys made him go crazy and this was like limp spaghetti. Couldn’t get him interested, which was so weird. We finally pulled the feather off, and put it on another wand toy and he was happy as a clam. After 5 minutes of careful examination of this new toy, my cat approved and it became a hit. After 2 weeks of vigorous daily playing it has only lost one feather on the bird attachment. Hope the wire part lasts long
