Good idea but absolutely not what is says in the name or description. My dog is a very aggressive chewer, the kind that bites a rope toy in half under a minute. The kind which cannot be given any plastic or plush toys because she will just start chewing on them and tear them apart in a few minutes (and eat it). The only toy I use now is another rubber chewing toy that is claimed to be undestructable, but it has to be replaced every two months as she will tear it apart. I gave her the mango with peanut butter in all the cracks, and when she was mostly done licking it out, she tried to bite the toy, and her gums immediately started to bleed. It only took like a minute. The reason is that the cubes have VERY sharp corners and edges. So good for licking, bad for biting. Another thing is that it is not "Tough Dog Dental Chews Toy, Indestructible Dog Toys for Large Dogs" as the name says, as in only a few bites pieces started falling off (see the picture of the front). The smell is nice, but I think it was added to mask the strong rubber smell that is still distinguishable, and the combination of those two is not nice. Had it sitting in a box for a few months and it still smells the same. The dog didn't mind it but she was also not extatic about it. The material is exactly as the bottom of general, low quality running shoes, including the smell. The opening for treats - very very small, didn't even try to put anything there.Pros:- good idea, took the dog some time to lick all the peanut butter from the crevices- the mango smell partly covers the rubber smellCons:- the cubes have very sharp edges, a few seconds of chewing may result in injured gums- not durable - only a few bites resulted in damage- the hole for treats is basically unusable as it's too small- the quality of material used and its smell- the price/quality ratioCannot report:- how long until destroyed, as I took it away from the dog in a few minutes- how well it cleans the teeth, but I assume that rubbing dogs teeth with a sharp shoe sole would result in no tartar, the same way as using sandpaper will get your face free of blackheadsWould buy again?Absolutely not. If your dog only licks things, this may be great for them (I think the sharp corners can still damage its tongue, though). Considering the price and an "Amazon's Choice" tag, I was very disappointed, almost angry. Multiple cheaper toys got destroyed, and that's what you get for a smaller price, but with double or triple the price you'd think the quality will be better, too. My mistake that I didn't return it, I just threw it into a box and forgot about it until now. This toy is really cool looking, and very difficult for my medium sized dog to get treats out of. I wish this came in a smaller size so my little guy could really go at it. All he can do is push it around with his nose. But it is exactly as described. The only drawback is that it smells and tastes like rubber. Just like kong toys. Some dogs really dislike that flavor so be aware. My dog is a fast eater so I have to feed her meals out of puzzle toys. I've tried lots of them. She LOVES this mango, y'all. She wags and wiggles so hard while she's chasing it all over the house. For reference, I go the large and she's about 40 lbs. It's the perfect size for her to hold in her mouth. I take it away when her food is gone, don't want her to have it long enough to chew a chunk off. It does seem to be durable but don't want to give her the chance to break it. It takes a while to fill it with her food (she gets a little less than 1 cup a meal). I use a funnel so I don't have to hold it open, but the funnel is only big enough to allow for one piece of food through at a time. She sits and drools while I'm filling it up. I'd like to try the other toys by this brand. If she destroys this I'll buy it in the x-large.This toy is extremely durable. My dog can eat any toy within MINUTE of getting it but not this one! This toy is so strong! I even tried to cut it with scissors and couldn’t! With that being said…on the down side…because of how round it is it makes it impossible for the dog to get treats out of it. I tried to cut the bottom to make the treat spot bigger but I couldn’t.So all in all…VERY durable…not a good toy for treats though. We LOVE our new toy! Riggs will play, toss and jump until he gets his treat. It occupies him for more than a minute and he's claimed it, so much so, that the other animals in the house better not try to even smell it, lol.I swear my dog knew this was for him before I could even get it out of the package! He is so excited about it, he happily carries it around and chews on it even without treats in it. It's got a variety of grooves for his teeth and it's holding up to the chewing power of a half rottweiler, half malinois. Bonus- it's spooky cute! He gets a new Halloween toy every year and he loves this oneFirst, regarding the reviews that call this or other rubber dog toys choking hazards and give 1-star reviews when chunks are missing: there is no such thing as indestructible rubber, and if your dog swallows pieces, YOU CAN’T GIVE THEM RUBBER TOYS. We carefully observed our dog and she spits out the pieces, so we’re comfortable with rubber toys since our dog loves them and I think they clean her teeth somewhat. That being said, we don’t want crumbs of rubber all over the house after 5 min or replacing toys daily. This mango toy is right up there with the “ballistic” rubber toys for durability and the scent is great too. We smear peanut butter in the ridges to add a little interest sometimes. So far after a couple of weeks just a few small notches taken out of the small end.My doxie is a super chewer. We go through multiple toys. This one was big so he couldn't quite grip it and get treats out of it like he was supposed to, so he instead used it as a ball. He loved it and I enjoyed watching him slightly struggle.Nothing wrong with this dog chew , very hard and looked indestructible however, it was far too big for my Cocker Spaniel. So I returned it. I think it would probably be better suited to larger breeds. To say the dog loves this is an understatement - not left it alone since he got it. He's a 7 stone Rottweiler and hasn't made a mark on it in 3 weeks, it still looks brand new. Recommended.Very durable, my pups love chewing it. Perfect for teething pup! Very well made xUnbelievably my dog has not destroyed this even a little bit, and he destroys everything! Well worth the money! This loaf of bread of a dog got the toy and was ecstatic. Not 5 min later chunks were gone and swallowed before I could get them out of his mouth. I really wanted this to be better. It smells just like a mango. It feels strong and I’m sure it is, but if you have a dog that will search for a weak spot or point, don’t waste your money. There is a pineapple toy on here that lasted 5 months. Check that out.
