I decided to start at the beginning to get myself prepared for Capital Games the book as well as the much anticipated film! Mark and Sharon is where it all starts. This is the book in which we meet Mark Richfield and his housemate Jack Larson.Mark is one of Los Angeles most eligible bachelors and an important designer. While Mark is up for a job he meets the boss's daughter Sharon Tice. Sharon has it all and she also wants Mark. Sharon and Mark start off having some steamy sex and Sharon decides to set herself to become Mrs. Mark Richfield. There is an obstacle though in Jack, Mark's gay housemate.Sharon cannot quite figure out the relationship that Mark and Jack have and it eats at her. To make matters worse Sharon's father does not approve of Mark in the least. All through his life Mark has denied having any feelings for the same sex and resented whenever people mistake him for being gay or bisexual.Mark's relationship with his parents is not a healthy one and this also puts a burden on Sharon especially since Jack seems to be the only person that `gets" Mark. Add to it Sharon's meddling father trying to fix Sharon back up with one of her exes and you have some comedic and poignant moments.This book is so good that all I could think about what a great series it would make on one of the Premium Networks. So much story and you get so involved with each character. This is one juicy novel and I highly recommend it especially if you have never read any of G.A. Hauser novels. Great character development and character driven plot at its very best!
